Here’s What’s Happening Around Northport during April 2018
Sunday April 8th – BINGO Sponsored by the Northport Lions Club, 12pm to 4pm. The Northport Lions Club is hosting its monthly bingo session on the second Sunday in April (April 8th, 2018) from noon to 4:00 pm in the Northport school cafeteria at 404 10th Street in Northport. The April bingo session is being moved from its customary ‘first Sunday of the month’ slot to avoid conflicting with player’s Easter activities. Games include Early Bird, Regular, Fast Pick and Blackout with a $500 Jackpot. Doors open at noon and play begins at 1 pm. U.S. and Canadian currency welcome; participants must be at least 18 years of age to play. Historically the requirement to win the $500 dollar Blackout jackpot has been to completely fill out a bingo card within the first fifty called numbers. This year the Northport Lions Club altered the rules to allow the called number threshold to increase, by one, each month the jackpot is not awarded. The jackpot was not awarded in the March session so the April session’s threshold is 56 numbers! A portion of this session’s proceeds benefit the Northport High School Girls Softball Team. Members of the softball team will be assisting the Lions with setup & clean up and will be selling concessions to raise funds for team-related expenses.
