Here’s What’s Happening Around Northport during November 2019

The Mustang Grill – November 27 (until noon) is the last day The Mustang Grill will be open. We will really miss Debbie and her crew and the EXCELLENT food and service they have been providing patrons in the community for many years.  We appreciate very much to have had this restaurant in our community!

Thursday Nov 28th – Community Thanksgiving Dinner –  Barbara Harding and Mark Harding will be hosting a Thanksgiving Meal open to the whole community. Starts at 1pm at the Northport Bible Church C.E. building, 124 5th Street. The entrance is on 5th Street just off Center Ave (SR25). If you can help provide food, please call Barbara at 675-6591. Here’s What’s Happening Around Northport during December 2019

Sunday December 1stThe Northport Lions Club is hosting its monthly bingo session. The Northport Lions Club is hosting its monthly bingo session December 1st, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Northport school cafeteria at 404 10th Street in Northport. Games include Early Bird, Regular, Fast Pick and Blackout with a $500 Jackpot. Doors open at noon and play begins at 1 pm. U.S. and Canadian currency welcome; participants must be at least 18 years of age to play.

The requirement to win the $500 dollar Blackout jackpot is to completely fill out a bingo card within the first fifty called numbers; however if the jackpot is not awarded, the called number threshold for the next session increases by one. The jackpot was not awarded during the last event so the December session’s threshold is 52 numbers!  A portion of this session’s proceeds benefit the Community Swim Support Group.  Representatives of the Community Swim Support Group will be assisting the Lions with setup & cleanup and will be selling concessions to raise funds to expand youth swim lessons for 4th – 6th grade students.

The Northport Lions Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Northport Town Hall. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. Sunday December 8th 1pm to 4pm – Northport Lions Club Annual Christmas Party – The Northport Lions Club is hosting its annual Christmas Party Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. in the Northport School Cafeteria, 404 10th Street in Northport. There will be hot cocoa, cider, cookies and treats for all the children and free pictures with Santa!

Please join us for a fun filled evening of music entertainment provided by Jordan Page, The Tipich Travelers, Jim Murphy and Friends, 7th Street Band, Marble Musicians, and more!  $10.00 per family and bring your favorite potluck hors d’oeuvres. And that they are always looking for more volunteers and to please consider volunteering to help our community.

NCPR Collecting Aluminum Cans – Hello NCPR friends! We are always taking aluminum cans for the continued success of the programs we offer. If you have a bag or two or three, just bring them to the back of the Community Center out by the old broken-down shed (the funds could go to help us fix that…). Your monetary donations are always also greatly appreciated and can be sent to our PO Box 967, Northport, WA, 99157. Thanks for all your support!

 

“Lunch & Shopping” at the Main Street Cottage – Every Thursday from 12noon to 4pm they serve a free vegan meal (unbelievably delicious, big servings) but accepts cash donations. The food is next to their (almost) free clothes store in the same cottage.  Any persons of any age and religious/cultural background will have a good time with the friendly servers!
