Northport Historical Society News – Well folks, we did it! We have raised over $41,500 to buy the Gallo House and restore it to become the Northport Welcome Center, Museum and Artisan Gallery. Thank you all! Now the next phase begins; the restoration of this lovely, old house. If you didn’t have a chance to donate, you still can (www.northporthistory.org) or, if you don’t have the extra money, your time and talent is what we need more than anything else. We will keep you posted on opportunities to volunteer on the restoration of this historic Northport home. The Historical Society is grateful to the outpouring of community (and beyond) support that brought us to this point.
